HEALTH & WELLNESS POLICIES:

Illness Policy:

• Children with ANY illness symptoms should be kept home.

• Children must stay home 24 hours after symptoms subside.

• Contact the office any time your child will be absent for any reason from school. Call the main number 541-482-8223, and press extension 14 to leave a message on the attendance line.

Gastro-Intestinal Illness:

• Any child with diarrhea and/or vomiting must stay at home for 48 hours after symptoms subside.

Covid Illness:

• If your child tests positive, they must stay home for 5 days, and may return on the 6th day if they have been well for 24 hours.

• If your child has two Covid symptoms, they must test.

• If negative, they may return to school 24 hours after symptoms subside.

• If positive, they must follow the above positive protocol.

• If you choose not to test, your child must stay home for 5 days, and return on the 6th day if they have been symptom free for 24 hours.

• Covid symptoms include headache, fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat, loss of taste/smell, congestion, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea.

• We will continue to provide testing for families who are interested in this service and for children who are symptomatic or have a positive family member at home.
