Supporting Children to Develop Resiliency, Courage, & Service in Uncertain Times
Parent Evening with author, Jack Petrash 6:30 – 8:00 pm
We are witnessing a generation with wavering confidence in the world and uncertainty about their place in it. How can we as parents, caregivers, and teachers best help children to develop confidence, competence, and courage as they find connectedness with others, with nature, and with their own humanity?
Join us for an evening with Jack Petrash as he shares how we, as the adults, can hold our young people with a clear perspective and knowledge of how to support the health of the mind/body/soul. Jack will help us explore how we can help our children have their uniqueness affirmed as they realize their gifts and learn to embrace the importance of contributing to the greater good by fulfilling their mission in life.

We have a wonderful Halloween celebration during the morning, (for students and faculty only, please)! Children are encouraged to wear their costumes to school! We do ask that you follow a couple of guidelines:
Be creative and keep in mind that we have young ones on campus!
Please no scary costumes or masks, blood, weapons, just fun!
Please remember, NO CANDY brought to school after Halloween.
Parents are invited to come and see the “pumpkin hall” before 8:30 – the Halloween assembly is just for the children.

Our annual Parent Welcome Night includes both a community moment and a class meeting for each grade. The first hour is a time of socializing, seeing old friends, meeting new ones, being served a delicious dinner by the Board and being welcomed by the Administration. Following the community gathering, parents go to their respective class meetings, led by their class teachers. Please line up a babysitter for 5:30-8:00 on Sept 12 so you can join us for the whole evening! It’s the only moment of the year when parents, the whole faculty, and Board members, come together in this way. (No children at school these nights.)
