Family Work Party

Come join us to tidy up the campus for the upcoming school year! Bring water, sun-hats, gloves, clippers and be prepared to work outdoors. This even is led by our groundskeeper, Mr. Smith, and is a great way to meet new families and spend time with the community!

Cubby Days for Kindergarten and First Grade

As part of our Before School Welcome Days, we offer a special chance for Kindergarteners and First Graders to come onto campus, meet their teacher, see their classroom and cubby, and get familiar with our school.

A link to sign up for a Cubby Day appointment will be sent to KG and Class 1 families in mid-August.

First Day of School

Welcome to The Siskiyou School’s 2026-27 school year!

Join us for the Sunflower Ceremony where we introduce our new first graders to their 6th grade buddies.

Afterward, join us for our Welcome Tea, a time for reuniting with coffee and treats!

The First Day of School is a Half Day.

Half-Day Dismissal Times:
KG and 1st grade - 12:20 pm
2nd through 4th grade - 12:30 pm
5th through 8th grade - 12:40 pm

Join us for an evening to welcome you back to school and celebrate our community. Parents/Guardians only, please.

Timeline for Event:

  • 5:45-6:15 p.m.: Dinner provided by the school. Please bring dinnerware!

  • 6:15-6:45 p.m.: Community Meeting.

  • 6:45-8:00 p.m.: Parent Meetings with class teachers.

  • Childcare will not be provided for this evening.

Michelmas Harvest Festival & Class 2 Play

Join us for Feats of Strength (games) in Clay Street Park at 3:30. Then head up to campus for the 2nd Grade play and Michaelmas Pageant, followed by a community potluck!

KG through 4th grade, please bring a main dish to share.

5th through 8th grade, please bring a side dish to share.

Please bring your own plates and utensils for a Zero Waste event and label your serving dishes for easy take home at the end of the night.
