Kay Wilson, Kindergarten Assistant

Kay Wilson began her teaching journey in local early childhood programs, where she cultivated joy in supporting young children as they learn, grow, and discover the world around them. Her love and deep appreciation for Waldorf education-and its thoughtful approach to nurturing the whole child- guide her as she strives to create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, seen, and encouraged to grow into who they are meant to be.

Kay believes that meaningful relationships, imaginative play, the living arts, and a sense of wonder are at the heart of a healthy early childhood experience. She is committed to continuing to deepen her understanding of Waldorf education through ongoing study, mentorship, additional certifications, and the rich learning opportunities within the Siskiyou School community.

Outside of the classroom, Kay enjoys spending time in nature, reading, appreciating the arts, supporting local events, and making memories with her three children and chosen family. She feels so grateful to be part of the Siskiyou School community and looks forward to getting to know the students and families throughout the year.
