Jenny James, 5-8th Math & Administrative Support

Jenny is in her seventh year as one of our two middle school math teachers. After obtaining her MAT degree from Willamette University in 2006, Jenny took a position in South Korea at the Seoul Foreign School as the high school health and religion teacher. She was also the head coach for the girls tennis team and loved traveling all over Asia with her championship-winning teams. In 2014, Jenny’s son, Noah, was born with End-Stage Renal Disease, so she returned to the U.S. to get him treatment. With Noah’s successful kidney transplant in 2016, Jenny decided to return to teaching and joined the Siskiyou School faculty.

Jenny—and a healthy Noah—live in Ashland and love spending time with family, (who live all over Oregon), studying about animals, playing tennis, and gardening. Noah is a current 4th grader in Mr. Criswell’s class and loves The Siskiyou School. You can also find Jenny will helping our administrative team.
