Misti was born in Texas and moved with her family to Ashland, Oregon at the age of two. She grew up in the beautiful Rogue Valley and went on to Oregon State University, where she received her Bachelors in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. She started her career as an analyst for Deloitte Consulting, which took her all over the United States and Europe and further ignited her passion for discovering the world. Misti made her way into advertising and has lived and worked in many cities around the world, including Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Basel and Amsterdam before finally settling back in her hometown.

Misti moved back to Ashland in 2017 with her family. Shortly after, they stumbled upon The Siskiyou School at the WinterFaire and fell in love with the incredibly thoughtful, creative, academic and beautiful approach to education that the Waldorf community brings. Their son Milo is in Grade 4 and their younger son Austin is eagerly awaiting his turn at The Siskiyou School.

Misti enjoys long-distance trail running, biking, hiking, and generally exploring the world both near and far. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family at the many wonderful restaurants, wineries and outdoor venues in Southern Oregon.

Misti currently works as the Director of Special Projects for a local product development company in Ashland.
