FolkSoul Farm is a thriving non-profit community and holistic education center. Our mission is to perceive the child in their wholeness and support their natural curiosity and propensity for love of learning. By awakening within them the capacity for a purpose-driven life, we serve in our communities and in the world as stewards of social renewal. FolkSoul Farm currently offers half day and full day programs on our working organic farm serving ages 2 through 6 with the option of aftercare until 5pm.  Organic farm-to-table snack and lunch are provided. The early childhood classes are led by certified Waldorf teachers who saturate each day not only with the beauty of a developmentally appropriate curriculum founded in anthroposophy, but also with traditional skills such as animal husbandry, permaculture and biodynamic farming, wild crafting and food preservation. The program integrates an experiential outdoor farm-based curriculum with ecology and environmental stewardship, and big movement free play woven into the program's foundation combined with the culturally-rich Waldorf daily rhythm of storytelling, songs, celebrations, beeswax modeling, wet on wet painting, and handwork. Children follow the cycle of the seasons spending the warm months almost entirely outdoors then nesting in the classroom space in the deep of winter. Family participation includes seasonal work parties and festivals, parent teacher conferences, anthroposophical study group, and crafting sessions.
