Kristin Beers, Administrative Manager

Kristin officially joined our office team in 2016 after several years of contributing hours of volunteer work to the auction and other school events and projects. Serving first as Office Assistant, she assumed the role of Office Manager when Aurilia McNamara became Administrator and has now taken on the role of Administrative Manager.

Kristin grew up in the suburbs of Sacramento, CA, driving past the mysterious Rudolf Steiner College! She received a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UC Irvine before taking a career turn into education. After teaching science and world history to 7th graders for three years, she and her husband, Matthew, left California to raise a family in Ashland. Once here, Kristin enrolled at SOU and completed her M.Ed. Since finding Waldorf education at the Siskiyou School, Kristin has discovered a whole new way of helping students and families learn and grow.

In her role on the administrative team, Kristin has made a huge contribution to the smooth operation of the school, lending a tireless, capable and efficient hand to the entire staff. Her gracious responsiveness to the flow of requests coming at her through the day from teachers, parents, or children – in the midst of juggling her own list of projects -- is remarkable! Kristin and her husband, Matthew, have two sons that are lucky to have been at the Siskiyou School and now at St. Mary’s in Medford. She’s proud co-founder of the Siskiyou School Brain Bowl team.
