Each September each of our middle school classes takes off on a “fall orientation trip” of 3-5 days. They camp, hike, raft, explore beautiful places and face challenges together. Accompanied by their class teacher and a crew of professional guides under the direction of Outdoor Leadership specialist Tom Shelstad, the traditional trips include Lassen National Park in 6th, hiking in the Marble Mountains in 7th, and rafting on the Wild and Scenic Rogue in 8th. Weather variations can alter the destinations and timing. These outdoor communal experiences are highlights of their Siskiyou School years.
